I strongly recommend Dr. Patricia Diefenbach to anyone seeking enlightened medical advice and expertise. I went to see Dr. Diefenbach complaining of stomach bloating and the inability to eat a great many foods. I had been experiencing stomach problems for several years and had reached the point to where nearly everything I ate caused severe bloating. My stomach hurt much of the day, and I was afraid that I had serious problems. Dr. Diefenbach spent a long time with me in our first session getting and understanding my medical and general history. I felt like she really understood me and my condition by the end of the first appointment. She gave me some specific recommendations on diet changes to make. Within a couple of days of following her recommendations I noticed a tremendous improvement in my symptoms.

A few weeks later in my second visit she told me that my CDSA results indicated a leaky gut. She gave me a list of supplements to take for this. She also recommended further diet changes for me to follow. Additionally, she gave me some supplements to take to help my heart health. I have since noticed another big improvement in my condition.

I feel so much healthier now. I still have some stomach bloating occasionally, but nothing like before. I have greatly increased my exercise routines and have taken care of a great many tasks around the house that I had been putting off because I just didn’t feel up to doing.

Leaky gut does not heal overnight, but I am confident that Dr. Diefenbach has put me on the right path. I feel fortunate to have stumbled upon her.

I have been in physical decline for over 10 years, with gastro issues, joint and muscle pain, and an inability to sleep. I have been diagnosed with various autoimmune issues, arthritis, Lyme, Epstein Barr, etc. etc. I have been passed around from specialist to specialist, taken every related drug imaginable, yet continued to get worse. I went to Dr Diefenbach on a friend’s recommendation, cynically thinking it was probably not going to help me. I was so wrong. It has been just over a month since I saw her and began following her (mainly dietary) recommendations. I am a different person.  My pain is gone. I sleep. My stomach is normal. Also, Dr Diefenbach actually listened to what I told her and made a plan based on what I told her. Naturopathic medicine is wholistic and does not assume that pumping you full of poorly understood drugs should be the starting point – and the ending point! It seeks to address the underlying issues, not just kill pain at whatever cost. It works. The list of improvements is long. I can’t say enough what a surprise this has been, and how grateful I am to Dr Diefenbach.

I would like to explain what Dr Diefenbach has done for me personally.

In the fall of 2014 I was diagnosed with severe and probably terminal liver disease (mostly from exposure to “Agent Orange”) as a result of my service with the USMC in 1967-1968, while in combat along the DMZ in Vietnam. I was treated at Washington Hospital Center and Georgetown Hospital in Washington. D. C. and not given much hope. My roommate at Georgetown died from the same situation. He was another veteran.

I was lucky enough to be referred to Dr. Paul Thulavath, at Mercy Hospital in Baltimore, MD. He was able to perform a TIPS surgery procedure which would prolong my life for 2-4 years. At that time I also became a patient of Dr. Diefenbach. Through her natural modalities and supplements, my liver began a recovery to its natural state of health and on my last visit to Dr. Thulavath my liver had regenerated and returned to nearly normal. In his words “ Something else will take you out before your liver does.”

I hope you are able to assist Dr. Diefenbach with whatever it takes to become licensed in Virginia just as her colleagues have been licensed in over 19 other states and the District of Columbia. Naturopathic physicians can be of great assistance in advancing affordable health care throughout the Commonwealth.

I am deeply grateful to Dr. Patricia Diefenbach who has made such a difference in my quality of life. After many years of my trying to heal, she was the first health practitioner who was able to find the root causes of my long time health issues. From her vast knowledge and experience, she put together a diet which is helping my body to heal without medication and with only a few supplements.  Dr. Patricia has been a great  support during a very challenging emotional period that was putting my health into jeopardy. I cannot say enough about her kind and compassionate heart that allows her to listen deeply to her patients and guide them into healing in the most efficient and natural safe way.

I am so grateful to Dr. Patricia for healing me from a significant issue with anxiety. Her recommendations included specific tactics and tools; herbal remedies, vitamin/mineral supplements, dietary changes, specific lifestyle advice, etc, to address my problem. After each visit I left with a few more tools until I had a whole tool chest full of things I could use to defeat that horrible feeling. I started feeling better within a week or two of seeing her and I continued to improve as I followed her advice over the subsequent weeks. I only came to see her a handful of times back then; she is focused, efficient, and results-oriented. But I was thinking of her today, nearly 2 years later, remembering how I used to feel, and how she so successfully healed me. I still have waves of anxiety. But they are far less frequent and not very bothersome. Instead of freaking out about it, I just roll my eyes at it and reach for my “tool box”. I have control of it now. And I’m forever grateful to Dr. Patricia for that. Don’t hesitate to make an appointment with her. It will be the best thing you could ever do for yourself.way.
